=== Mark and Sweep === One common garbage collection technique is the Mark and Sweep algorithm. This algorithm identifies and marks all memory regions that are still in use by tracing the live objects. It then sweeps through the remaining memory, releasing any unmarked regions. This approach provides a reliable way to reclaim memory resources but can cause brief pauses in program execution during the marking and sweeping phases.
